Providing scholarships and all necessary support would be a gateway to narrow the gap for ambitious and studious young leaders worldwide.
• Moreover, we have witnessed many young talents falling in love with Montreal because of the culture, history and people. That’s the great inspiration for them to make their local places better and have more business connections with Montreal.
• Last but not least, the scholarship has already covered a huge amount of original tuition fees if students want to study other short courses at HEC Montreal, with all of the reasons above, all of the tuition fee is spending for essential parts for professional organizing and executing the most valuable programs and experiences the students can have. SBC or SBC Scholarship have followed the mission of non profit organization. So all the tuition fee we get from the program will all go back to your values and experiences with the program, and SBC Scholarship has eliminated a huge fee supposed to have in traditional courses at HEC Montreal.

• Participants: 02 groups, mainly from developing countries, including Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America

  • Group 2: Non-SBC Participants (high school and university students, young professors interested in sustainable business development
• Objectives:

    • Create a solid foundation with real experiences through 03 modules:
      • Module 1: Learning & Practicing at HEC Montreal – Learning by case studies, discussion with top experts & professors in the field;
      • Module 2: Company Visits – Meet with innovative businesses in Montreal that are leading the way in sustainability, AI, and social impact;
      • Module 3: Amazing Race at Montreal – Experience an adventurous exploration of Montreal’s history, green spaces, local culture, and modern innovations through a fun and educational “Amazing Race” format;
    • Expand professional network for further learning and development
    • Expose personal perspectives on Montreal culture
  • For HEC Montreal:
  • Promote HEC Montreal credit on social business, AI, energy and innovation to global students and potential talents

Company Visit & Amazing Race (optional): 6 days – 1000 CAD, including

• Entrance fees to locations

After consulting, if you find yourself matching the scholarship program, submit your CV and a personal statement outlining your interest in the program and how you align with its goals following the template and instructions of SBC. After the application review and interview, candidates will receive an email with the scholarship results. Only candidates receiving confirmation of getting a scholarship would process tuition fee payment directly to HEC Montreal to receive LOA and visa letter for visa process. In case of a failed visa application or the program is canceled by any issues not caused by the candidate, SBC will refund 100%, no application fee needed.

• Interested candidates can submit their online applications and receive consultations from program partners.
• Selection is first-come, first-served.
• Organizers may request additional information from applicants.
• The application closing date may be earlier if the maximum number of candidates is reached.

Interviews Round:

• Applicants who pass the application review will be invited for an interview (online or offline).
• Interviews will be conducted as early as possible.
• Results will be announced promptly to allow time for visa processing for those without a Canada Visa.
• Selected applicants with scholarships must confirm their participation within 7 days of receiving the confirmation email.

Payment Period & Visa Processing:

• Selected applicants must complete tuition payment to receive the Acceptance and Visa Letters.
• Two payment options:
  • Full Payment: Pay the entire amount upfront.
  • Installment Plan:
    • 1st Payment (50%): Due within 30 days of confirming their slot.
    • 2nd Payment (50%): Due by January 30, 2025.
